Al Aguirre has served in senior principal and advisory positions on Wall Street as well as senior executive operating roles in public and private companies. He served in principal investing, capital markets, and advisory roles as a managing director at Warburg Pincus, an investment banker at Morgan Stanley and a securities attorney at Sullivan & Cromwell.
Al has also served in senior management roles at several media and technology businesses, where he was instrumental in shaping strategy, driving growth, and achieving successful financings and exits.
Over the past decade, Al has served as a professional board member, often in the role of Chairman, for public and private companies in a variety of industries, including business services, commercial banking, media, and technology. In his board work, he focuses on such key issues as strategy, talent and compensation, governance, financings, and M&A.
Al has also served in various nonprofit and community roles. He is currently Chair of the Governance Committee and Director of Father Joe’s Village, San Diego’s largest provider of comprehensive services for the homeless. He previously served as Chairman of the Town of Tiburon Planning Commission.
