Job Description

Toyota Texas is looking for a passionate and highly skilled Toyota Experience Center Supervisor to advance the mission of Toyota’s Experience Center and manufacturing facility by managing the day-to-day operations of the Experience Center and supervising a team of Ambassadors.  

Toyota is looking for an energetic, personable Supervisor who is confident speaking to large groups, articulate, team-focused, flexible and thrives on interacting with people of all age’s diverse backgrounds. The ideal candidate leads by example with a can-do attitude, positive outlook, and “respect for people” mindset.   

 The Supervisor will be required to both narrate scripted tours and drive electric trams in a high-paced manufacturing environment with moving automated guided vehicles (AGVs) and industrial equipment. 

What You’ll Do: 

  • Lead a team of up to eight Experience Center Ambassadors 
  • Coordinate contractor services: maintenance, cleaning services, etc. 
  • Manage staff schedules, job duties, customer satisfaction, and personnel issues 
  • Train all staff for multiple tasks, including front desk operations and driving a tour tram, narrating tours, giving safety talks and tour instructions, facility info, etc. 
  • Compile data reports for KPI measurement 
  • Manage non-standard tour requests and events 
  • Support large projects and operational or facility improvements 
  • Oversee guest reservation system management 
  • Work with multiple plant departments for tours, projects, improvement, etc. 
  • Interface with guests of all ages from around the world—including post tour questions 
  • Serve as a back-up for all staff 
  • Other duties as assigned by Corporate Communications Manager 

 

What You’ll Bring: 

  • Must be 18 years old with a high school diploma 
  • Previous supervisory experience—preferably in project management, customer service or hospitality 
  • Self-starter and an independent worker who is team oriented and results driven 
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to details 
  • Maintain regular and predictable attendance to support team and business objectives 
  • Computer experience with emphasis on Microsoft Office Suite 
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills 
  • Great interpersonal skills with excellent verbal communication skills 
  • Ability to speak in front of groups of people 
  • Ability to work with all levels in the organization including executives and VIPs 
  • Ability to work flexible work hours, which may include evenings and weekends with advanced notice 
  • Ability to work with all levels within the organization including executives and VIP guests 

 

Added Bonus if You Have: 

  • Some college 
  • Experience in automotive manufacturing 
  • Bilingual English/Spanish

Required Training/Testing: 

  • Driving Assignment – Must be able to meet requirements to drive vehicle on assignment. Successful candidates will complete driver certification and safety training courses before driving a tram.  

 

  • Eye Exam/Hearing Test – Must be able to pass an eye exam and hearing test check before obtaining tram driving clearance. If needed Toyota will provide OSHA approved prescription glasses. Toyota will not provide hearing aids if required.  

 

  • Workplace Training – Must complete onboarding training and annual training as required/assigned by employer and/or client at will.
