Job Description

Assistant Supervisor:

This position will work closely with the Shift Supervisor to help them lead a manufacturing team for their specified shift. This is a working position, responsible for first line technical support as well as the operation and general maintenance of digital printing and fulfillment equipment. The successful candidate must be able to operate independently and with minimal supervision. Must communicate & follow up effectively on a timely basis as well as establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships with all Mad Engine Teams.  

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and motivate warehouse crew to ensure daily and weekly shipping demands are met, while keeping efficient, accurate and productive processes.
  • Coordinate daily shipping priorities with CSR dept.
  • Responsible for the processing of all mini major and special orders processed from Fifth Sun facility. This includes confirming correct merchandise is pulled, staged, and ready for shipping in appropriate time frames.
  • Facilitate any safety related audits including water, sprinkler, or drills
  • Active as Safety captain in drill as well as real-life emergencies
  • Schedule all pickups from Chico facility and have accurate paperwork ready.
  • Maintain inventory and the ordering of shipping supplies. This includes consolidating orders with production coordinators.
  • Help monitor shelf stock inventory along with the production supervisor to maintain adequate inventory to fill independent customers’ orders.
  • Oversee returned shipments. Ensure accurate information is given to CSRs for follow-up and timely resolve.
  • Conduct order selecting/packing audits as outlined
  • Responsible for maintaining a neat and clean warehouse, free of hazardous obstacles.
  • Responsible for planning and assigning Bin locations to maximize efficient selecting of orders.
  • Facilitate inventory physical counts on a quarterly basis and provide the Production Manager with results.
  • Keep an organized warehouse with complete knowledge of all staged product locations.
  • Maintain safety records for all audits, sampling, and compliance.
  • Perform safety training
  • Help onboard and assign training to all new temps or FTEs on shift
  • Hold employees responsible for following the Company’s Employee handbook and Injury and Illness Prevention Program

Required Skills:

  • Organized, motivated, flexible, and astute problem solver.
  • Four-year degree in logistics, materials management, operations, or related fields preferred.
  • Possess strong verbal and written communication skills; demonstrated ability to organize vast amounts of data; ability to multi-task several priorities and possess solid time management skills.
  • Ability to help employees solve difficult situations
  • Communicates clearly and respectfully
  • Familiar with and capable of working the entire MS Office suite; knowledge of automated or computerized system operation including ERP or MRP systems.
  • The Supervisor will need to be a self-starter, comfortable in a fast-paced team environment; strong ability to manipulate data for efficient analysis; demonstrates initiative, is cost conscientious and provides complete follow-through on all aspects of responsibility; excellent time management and communication skills
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds
