Job Description

Payrate ranges from $18-22 per hour

Position Summary:

We are looking for a dependable and experienced Forklift Operator to support warehouse and logistics operations. This position is responsible for moving, locating, stacking, and counting materials and products using powered industrial trucks (PIT). The successful candidate will prioritize safety, accuracy, and efficiency while maintaining a clean and organized workspace.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment to transport materials.

  • Load and unload trucks, trailers, and containers safely and efficiently.

  • Move raw materials, finished goods, or other materials to designated locations.

  • Inspect forklift equipment before each use and report any mechanical issues.

  • Maintain records of inventory moved, using RF scanners or manual tracking systems.

  • Assist in cycle counting and regular physical inventory audits.

  • Ensure compliance with company safety policies and OSHA standards.

  • Support order fulfillment activities including picking, packing, and staging materials.

  • Keep aisles, workstations, and loading docks clean and hazard-free.

  • Communicate effectively with warehouse staff, supervisors, and drivers.

  • Perform other general warehouse duties as assigned.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.

  • Valid forklift certification or ability to obtain certification upon hire.

  • 1+ year of experience operating a forklift in a warehouse, distribution, or manufacturing setting.

  • Knowledge of warehouse practices and safety procedures.

  • Ability to read and understand work orders, shipping documents, and safety instructions.

  • Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and standing, bending, or walking for long periods.


Desired Competencies:

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.

  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

  • Basic computer skills or familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS).

  • Team-oriented attitude with good communication skills.

  • Flexibility to work different shifts, including evenings, weekends, or overtime if needed.
