Manufacturing Operator – Launch Team – New Company

 

Compensation

  • $45,000-$55,000/yr – (Including Overtime)

  • $1200 Sign-on bonus

Location: Jeffersonville, Indiana

Join the founding team of a new advanced solar manufacturing facility. With an established and fully operational U.S. facility already open in Texas, the Jeffersonville site will be the second U.S. location and is preparing for production launch following international training.

This is a true ground floor opportunity to be part of the launch team and help build operations from the beginning. We are seeking career-oriented individuals who want long-term advancement, leadership opportunity, and growth within an expanding manufacturing organization. 

Position Overview

The Manufacturing Operator is responsible for performing production type tasks in a high-tech solar cell manufacturing environment. This role includes operating, monitoring, and maintaining automated and semi-automated production equipment used in the fabrication of solar cells.

Operators are expected to follow established procedures, safety protocols, and workplace policies to ensure efficient production and quality performance.

 International Training Opportunity

As the first hired team members selected members, you will participate in hands-on international training, working directly with the engineers and production teams who designed and built the equipment for the Jeffersonville facility.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Manufacturing environment requiring extended standing and physical activity

  • Wafer preparation including cleaning, texturing, and doping of silicon wafers

  • Monitor high-temperature furnace processes to introduce dopants and apply metal contacts

  • Etching and coating using chemical baths and deposition tools

  • Screen printing and curing of conductive pastes

  • Electrical and optical testing including IV curve measurements and electroluminescence imaging

  • Manufacturing of monocrystalline and polycrystalline silicon solar cells

  • Support product development, process and tool optimization initiatives to improve cell efficiency, yield, and tool performance

  • Participate in pilot production runs for emerging technologies such as PERC, TOPCon, and HJT cells

  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives including Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, and Kaizen

  • Ensure all business activities are performed with the highest ethical standards and in compliance with company policies

  • Adhere to all health and safety rules and procedures

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Minimum 4 years of prior manufacturing experience required

  • At least 2 years of tenure with a current or previous employer

  • Ability to stand for long periods and perform physical labor

  • Strong attention to quality and detail

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

  • Valid passport required; can be acquired after the job offer
