Job Description

Hiring Dispatcher 1st Shift

Scheduled: Monday to Friday, 7:00am - 4:00pm 

Pay rate : $17 per hour

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail‑oriented Dispatcher to coordinate daily transportation and warehouse operations. This role serves as the primary communication link between drivers, clients, and internal teams to ensure efficient, timely, and accurate movement of goods.

Key Responsibilities

Communication

  • Serve as the main point of contact for drivers and clients.
  • Relay instructions, updates, and operational information clearly and efficiently.

Scheduling

  • Coordinate and schedule deliveries, pickups, and transportation services.
  • Adjust schedules as needed to meet changing demands and timelines.

Monitoring Operations

  • Track shipment and vehicle status using dispatch or tracking systems.
  • Provide real-time updates and ensure timely delivery performance.

Problem-Solving

  • Troubleshoot issues such as delays, route challenges, or customer concerns.
  • Develop quick, effective solutions to keep operations on track.

Data Entry & Record Keeping

  • Maintain accurate delivery logs, incident reports, and dispatch documentation.
  • Ensure all data is properly entered into relevant operational systems.

External Basic Qualifications

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Strong organizational abilities and capable of managing high-pressure situations.
  • Ability to multitask and handle multiple requests simultaneously.
  • Proficiency with dispatch software and tracking systems (preferred).
  • Previous dispatch or logistics experience is preferred but not required.
  • Willing to work a flexible shift schedule.
  • Able to stand for at least 8 hours with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Able to push, pull, grasp, and lift with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a warehouse or distribution environment.
  • Minimum 6 months of experience using RF (Radio Frequency) scanning equipment.
  • Minimum 6 months of experience entering and retrieving data in an inventory management system.

To set up direct deposit, log in to the cardholder website at www.cardholder.comdata.com. Enter your username, password, and click the log in button. Hover over the Banking option and click on Direct Deposit. Follow the prompt Steps to Transfer Money From Your Comdata Payroll Card to Your Bank Account.

You can view your paystub through www.cardholder.comdata.com, through the Employbridge mobile app, or by signing up to automatically receive your paystub summary information by email or text message each pay day.
