Position Summary:  To provide accurate, credible, timely and cost-effective testing and evaluation.  This position supports corporate, Technical Development Services and Quality (TDSQ), and lab goals and metrics for Customer testing requests and profitable revenue growth.  

 

Dimensions: This individual will be one of a team in the TDSQ lab operations supporting customer and product development efforts across the organization.  Project work supports group efforts providing over $2.5MM/yr in testing services and an order of magnitude more financial impact to the company.

 

Principal Accountabilities: 

  • Provide accurate, effective, quick response testing, evaluation, and reporting.  Develop and implement test plans and testing process, including:
    • Source, log, track, prepare, condition, and assemble test specimens.
    • Analyze and summarize data, complete reporting of results with a high level of integrity.
  • Utilize Microsoft Excel and Word to produce numerical analysis and comprehensive reports.
    • Reporting results of testing to address the problem/challenge motivating project submission.
  • Maintain the accuracy and functionality of TDSQ lab facilities, including participation in internal calibration and verification (internal/external) programs.
    • Proficient operation of equipment in the testing Labs, following relevant TAPPI/ASTM/ISTA standards. 
    • Operate and maintain data collection systems, participating in collaborative testing work.
  • Grow skill base in lab operations, developing competence and expertise in one or more lab areas.  Able to address customer (internal/external) questions with limited additional collaboration and support.
    • Engage in the test method development process through test method review in collaboration with staff.
  • Work safely both on site and off; encourage other contractors/students in safe operation of all lab equipment and support lab safety culture and site safety goals.
  • Responsible for knowing and following policies and procedures of the company; for sharing information that would benefit other members of the team; and for finding ways to improve the delivery of service to our Customers.
  • Continually strive to strengthen the company’s business philosophy of meeting needs and exceeding expectation for Customers.  This includes supporting the company’s Commitment to Service which involves doing what’s right for our Customers, focusing on strategies that add value and support growth, and keeping the promises that we make.

 

Decision Making:  The contractor is expected to work under general supervision, typically reporting to the Manager, or Supervisor Materials Optimization & Development or Manager, or Supervisor. Package Testing & Optimization.  This position requires a professional able to follow guidance on test protocols, safely executing them in a timely fashion to meet customer needs.   The contractor is expected to collaborate with more senior team members as needed in determining the best way to address customer needs and report results.  The individual is expected to take general direction and make decisions on the many details associated with the project or task.  The individual is expected to use his/her knowledge and experience to gather relevant information, identify key issues and relationships, compare data from different sources, identify cause-effect relationships, and recommend solutions.  Unresolved issues or questions should be escalated.  As a company representative, the contractor must exercise discretion realizing that his/her interactions with vendors and customers must be in accordance with company policies and ethics.

You can view your paystub through www.cardholder.comdata.com, through the Employbridge mobile app, or by signing up to automatically receive your paystub summary information by email or text message each pay day.
