Food Processing facility located in Kent, WA and Des Moines, WA. Our company services the retail and food service industry offering a variety of value-added items including but not limited to ready to eat green and pasta salads, dips, quiches, veggie trays and fruit trays. We are a growing business that currently employs over 500 individuals.

Summary of Responsibilities:
This position is responsible for setting up the line to run efficiently while maintaining a safe and clean environment. Leads will oversee sanitation of equipment and production area when going on breaks, changing product or shutting down at the end of the shift. Leads are responsible for assembling the line by assigning work stations, training workers on new product procedures and complying with safety policies. Leads are also responsible for monitoring productivity, quality and accuracy of products while working on the line cleaning, chopping, and slicing, weighing and packaging food items in a clean, refrigerated environment.
Essential Job Functions:
Responsible for supporting food safety and quality in the plant.
Resourcefully solve any issues that arise and seize control of any problematic situation
Comply with and enforce sanitation regulations and safety standards
Clean: Maintain a clean line and safe work area.
Ensures that all Production policies and procedures are followed.
Processing food according to HACPP regulations.
Pack items in designated containers or bags per customer order.
Must check product(s) to insure quality of food product (i.e.: freshness, color, shape, temperature, and proper size specifications)
Must be able to accurately store, label, and date all incoming food product to insure maximum shelf life.
Ensure inventory remains accurate by utilizing technology to reduce inventory as it is being used.
Utilize technology to ensure policies and procedures are being documented.
Responsible for managing their line completes their work by the expected time or let management know if there are any issues with meeting completion goals.
Report discrepancies to supervisors. Required Qualifications and Experience:
Must be able to accurately store, label, and date all incoming food product to insure maximum shelf life.
Must be able to utilize technology as part of their daily responsibilities.
Able to work independently without supervision.
Able to work in cold a refrigerated environment of 34 -37 degrees
Must be able to lift a minimum of 25lbs. frequently.
Able to read, write, communicate in English, and work well with others.
Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers
Attendance is critical; employee must be dependable to report to work on time as scheduled. Job Type: Full-time, Must be flexible with work schedule.
