Shift: 2nd Shift (2:30 PM - 11:00 PM)
Training Requirement: Must be available to train on 1st Shift (6:00 AM - 2:30 PM)

Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and hands-on Facilities Maintenance Technician to support the maintenance, repair, cleanliness, and overall upkeep of our facility. This position is responsible for performing general building maintenance, preventive maintenance tasks, repairs, and janitorial duties to ensure a safe, functional, and professional work environment.
The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, experience with general facility repairs, and takes pride in maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient workplace.
Key Responsibilities
Facility Maintenance & Repairs
- Perform general repairs and maintenance on building systems, fixtures, doors, plumbing, and non-licensed electrical components.
- Complete minor carpentry, painting, patching, and other handyman-related repairs as needed.
- Inspect and maintain lighting and other facility systems; coordinate with the maintenance team regarding repairs outside of in-house capabilities.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and facility-related issues.
- Safely operate ladders, hand tools, and power tools to complete assigned work.
Preventive Maintenance
- Perform routine preventive maintenance on facility equipment and systems.
- Document completed maintenance activities and report any concerns.
- Assist in identifying opportunities to improve equipment reliability and facility efficiency.
Janitorial & Housekeeping Duties
- Clean and maintain shop floors, offices, break rooms, restrooms, and common areas.
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and remove trash and recycling as needed.
- Ensure workspaces remain clean, organized, and presentable throughout the facility.
- Maintain sanitary conditions in employee common areas and restrooms.
Grounds & Exterior Upkeep
- Perform general exterior maintenance, including grounds upkeep, hedge trimming, and parking lot cleanliness.
- Monitor facility entrances and outdoor areas to maintain a professional appearance.
- Assist with seasonal and weather-related facility maintenance tasks.
Waste Management & Safety
- Safely dispose of industrial waste materials, including metal shavings, swarf, oils, and coolant, according to company procedures.
- Follow all OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
- Report safety concerns, equipment issues, or facility hazards immediately.
Inventory Management
- Maintain inventory levels of maintenance, janitorial, and facility supplies.
- Notify supervisors when supplies require replenishment.
- Organize maintenance storage areas and ensure tools and materials are properly stored.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in facility maintenance, building maintenance, janitorial services, or a related field preferred.
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and general repair practices.
- Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, ladders, and maintenance equipment.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks including bending, climbing, standing, and walking for extended periods.
- Must be available to train on 1st Shift before transitioning to 2nd Shift.
