Dispatch Specialist
 
Rotating Schedule | 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM
Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Friday & Saturday
Week 2: Sunday, Wednesday & Thursday
 
$21.00 per hour
 
Summary
 
We are seeking a Dispatch Specialist to support transportation and logistics operations by coordinating communication with drivers, monitoring fleet activity, and ensuring on-time service. This position serves as a critical link between drivers, customers, and internal teams to proactively address issues and maintain efficient transportation operations.
 
The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills and the ability to multitask are essential for success in this role.
 
Job Responsibilities
 
• Communicate professionally with drivers via phone and onboard computer systems (OBCS)
• Perform AS-400 system functions to maintain transportation and dispatch operations
• Coordinate communication between drivers, customers, and internal departments
• Document driver, load, and transportation issues accurately and thoroughly
• Conduct regular fleet scans to identify and resolve potential service disruptions
• Monitor transportation activity to help ensure on-time deliveries
• Escalate issues and implement solutions to maintain service levels
• Maintain accurate records and dispatch documentation
• Provide excellent customer service to both internal and external customers
• Support daily transportation and logistics operations
 
Job Requirements
 
• Knowledge of Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (FMCSR)
• Understanding of U.S. and Canadian geography
• Experience using Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Familiarity with AS-400 systems
• Ability to type a minimum of 25 words per minute
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced setting
 
Preferred Qualifications
 
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Transportation, dispatch, or logistics experience
• Call center or customer service experience
• Strong follow-up and issue resolution skills
• Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building abilities
• Experience managing multiple priorities while meeting deadlines
• Ability to work effectively with diverse teams and customers

You can view your paystub through www.cardholder.comdata.com, through the Employbridge mobile app, or by signing up to automatically receive your paystub summary information by email or text message each pay day.
