Job Description

We are looking for a Bag Machine Operator

in Albuquerque NM

 

 

Schedule & Pay

Monday – Friday

1st Shift:

  • 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM
  • $16.00 per hour

2nd Shift:

  • 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM
  • $17.00 per hour

Position Summary
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Bag Machine Operator to join our production team. This role is responsible for operating and monitoring bag-making equipment, inspecting product quality, packaging finished products, and ensuring production goals are met in a safe and efficient manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a fast-paced setting, performing repetitive tasks, and maintaining high quality standards throughout the production process.

 

Qualifications & Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Ability to accurately read measurements using a ruler or measuring device.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds regularly.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods during the work shift.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.
  • Basic computer skills for production data entry and record-keeping.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Strong attendance, reliability, and teamwork skills.
  • Previous manufacturing, machine operation, or packaging experience is preferred but not required.

Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor bag-making machinery during production runs.
  • Stand at the delivery end of the machine and continuously inspect finished bags for quality, appearance, and proper alignment.
  • Make basic machine adjustments to ensure bags are produced according to specifications.
  • Package completed stacks of bags into boxes and securely seal cartons for shipment.
  • Load and replace rolls of plastic film and zipper profile spools as needed to maintain continuous production.
  • Monitor equipment performance and promptly report any mechanical issues or production concerns.
  • Accurately record production data and machine output using a computer terminal.
  • Complete all production reports, quality checks, and required documentation accurately and on time.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with company standards and safety regulations.
  • Follow all workplace safety policies, procedures, and quality control requirements.
  • Assist with additional production and warehouse tasks as assigned.

 

Physical Requirements

  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching throughout the shift.
  • Repetitive hand and arm movements while handling materials and packaging products.
  • Ability to lift, carry, and move materials weighing up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to work around moving machinery while following safety procedures.
