Carpenter Laborer / Setup
Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday through Friday, starting at 6:00 AM until completion
About the Role
The Wood Shop Carpenter Laborer is responsible for cutting and shaping materials to achieve the desired appearance for each panel and fabricating the blank-out materials used within precast concrete panels. This role requires attention to detail, safe operation of tools and equipment, and the ability to accurately read and use a tape measure.

Key Responsibilities
- Read and comprehend pour sheets.
- Cut insulation, blank-out materials, and nailers for panel production.
- Safely operate table saws, band saws, miter saws, pneumatic nail guns, and other carpentry tools.
- Cut and assemble wood components to build forms and bulkheads for structural and architectural projects.
- Seal wood forms and create special blanks or notches as required.
- Prepare materials and beds, including drilling holes in wood forms.
- Assist with or lead special form build-ups when needed.
- Transport wood forms to production for painting or varnishing.
- Operate forklifts to move materials between storage and fabrication areas.
- Maintain housekeeping standards and follow all safety requirements.
- Perform work indoors and outdoors as necessary.

Pay: $18.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM until completion

Qualifications
Required
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Ability to accurately read and use a tape measure.
- Basic math skills.
- Ability to work safely and follow all safety policies.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred
- Technical training in carpentry.
- Previous carpentry, construction, manufacturing, or woodworking experience.
- Forklift experience.
- Knowledge of construction materials and manufacturing processes.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds occasionally.
- Frequent bending, climbing, kneeling, twisting, squatting, crawling, and repetitive hand and arm movements.
- Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the facility for shifts up to 12 hours.
- Comfortable working at heights using ladders, scaffolding, swing stages, and man lifts.
- Ability to work in changing weather conditions, including hot, cold, wet, and humid environments.
- Ability to wear required PPE, including safety boots, safety glasses, hearing protection, high-visibility vest, hard hat, and other safety equipment as required.
