The Warehouse Lead is responsible for serving as a subject matter expert in warehouse operations, processes, and technology systems while providing day-to-day leadership and direction to warehouse team members. This role supports operational excellence by ensuring customer orders are fulfilled accurately, safely, and efficiently while promoting a positive team environment and maintaining compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities Leadership & Team Support

  • Serve as a subject matter expert for warehouse processes, technology applications, and equipment.
  • Lead by example and model company values, professionalism, and safety standards.
  • Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Direct and coordinate the work of warehouse associates as assigned by the Supervisor.
  • Provide training and guidance regarding proper handling, storage, and shipment of customer products.
  • Assist with problem-solving and operational decision-making within established guidelines.
  • Promote workplace safety and ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures.

Warehouse Operations

  • Ensure customer orders are picked, verified, packed, and shipped accurately and on schedule.
  • Perform inventory counts and cycle counts as directed, making authorized inventory adjustments.
  • Monitor warehouse activities to ensure productivity, quality, safety, and security standards are met.
  • Delegate and oversee daily housekeeping duties to maintain an organized and safe facility.
  • Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and company regulations.
  • Fill customer orders safely, efficiently, and in accordance with established operating procedures.
  • Load, unload, move, and store materials using forklifts and other warehouse equipment.
  • Accurately scan freight and inventory transactions using warehouse management systems and RF scanning equipment.
  • Complete required documentation and records thoroughly and promptly.
  • Assist with loading customer merchandise while providing excellent customer service.
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications Education & Experience

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Three (3) or more years of warehouse, distribution, logistics, or related experience.
  • Prior team lead or leadership experience preferred.
